Project-Based Learning: Epinephrine Kinetics

The Task

• Create a physiologically accurate mathematical model demonstrating the dispersion kinetics of epinephrine in the body due to an acute stress response, basal levels, and an EpiPen.

The Challenge

• Manage the tradeoff between physiological accuracy and mathematical convenience.

• Thoroughly document research, visual model representation, and Python differential equation solver. 

The Result

• A 73-page report including 44 references, 40 pages of code, 14 figures, and 6 tables. 

• Class-wide presentation.
